"Brooklyn Sees Stars"

Grand Lobby, Brooklyn Central Library
10 Army Plaza, Brooklyn

In the beautiful Grand Lobby of the Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Sees Stars paints a portrait of Brooklyn's thriving, legitimate theatre scene in the late 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, when the biggest stage and screen stars made Brooklyn theatres a major stop for both pre- and post-Broadway tours.

The exhibition includes panels displaying images of theatres, playbills, programs, production photographs, and artifacts of Brooklyn's colorful theatrical past.
